These webinars provide an opportunity to improve your managerial skills so you can
be more effective in your role. While the webinars are directed for those with
supervisory responsibilities, all staff are welcome to join.

Forum 1 - Management Standards at CARE: Values into Action
The first webinar in the Managers' Forum expands your knowledge of the
CARE Management Standards and helps you put them into practice. This
session discusses how the standards link to CARE's mission, vision, values
and strategy, and how they will be integrated into the organization's culture.
Forum 2 - The Manager as a Communicator
This Forum presents suggestions for improving your listening skills, having effective
conversations, and speaking in a way that make people want to listen. Utilizing the insights from
this session will help you convey CARE's vision, mission, values and strategy and their
relevance to employees, the public, and project participants.
Forum 3 - The Performance Review Picture
There is more involved in performance reviews than just completing a form. Performance reviews are an essential
part of a manager's role, and it is important that every manager understands how to conduct effective reviews. This session teaches how to give
effective and accurate performance reviews.
Forum 4 - The One on One: Strengthening Relationships
Start the New Year off right! Building a relationship with each member of your team is important as a manager. Through the simple
practice of the One on One meeting you not only strengthen your relationships with staff but improve communication and performance
among your team. During this session, you will learn about the many benefits of One on One meetings and be provided with practical
steps needed to hold, monitor and implement successful One on Ones for your team.
Forum 5 - Compliance and the Role of the Manager
Managers are very important in helping CARE meet our compliance goals. In this one hour forum, we will look at the skills of the manager in three
dimensions - Business, Technical, and People Management - and discuss how knowledge in these three areas will help you recognize when compliance
concerns may arise, understand CARE's policies or donor rules and regulations, and know how to work with your team to achieve compliance.
In addition to this valuable discussion, you will be provided with useful resources to support the critical role you play in helping CARE reach
its compliance goals.
Forum 6 - Increasing Potential: The Manager as a Coach
In this session we will define your role as a coach and show you how to increase the potential in your employees. You will learn how and when
to coach and the benefits that come from effective coaching - for you and for your employees. The interactive presentation will allow you to see
how much you've learned and provide you an opportunity to clarify any points. After this session, you will have a wealth of practical tips to help
you be a better coach.

Forum 7: Maximizing Investments: Is Technology on YOUR team?
As managers at CARE, we can have significant impact on the effectiveness
of every dollar spent on technology. This forum will provide a quick
update on new ways to maximize technology to gain efficiencies for you
and your team, practical guidelines for technology purchases, where CARE
is going with technology governance, and how you can be a part of the
action!

Forum 8: Creating the Development Plan
Join us in the upcoming Managers Forum to discover useful topics to cover as you create development plans for FY 11. You will learn who is responsible for the development planning process; what kind of experiences and enhanced job assignments will add value to job growth; and how to integrate development ideas that address future interests into current job assignments. All of us will be involved in crafting development plans as part of the upcoming annual appraisal process, either for ourselves or for staff. This thought-provoking webinar will prove invaluable.
